Community events

This calendar is a service of the Whatcom Peace & Justice Center. We do not necessarily endorse all of the events listed. When we are co-sponsoring or hosting an event, we include our name in that announcement.

Monthly & weekly meetings*

*With exception of the peace vigil, times and locations of the following meetings may have changed due to the pandemic. Please confirm with the organizations mentioned below to make sure you have the most up-to-date information.

The Peace Vigil gathers every Friday afternoon in front of the Federal Building at Cornwall and Magnolia from 4-5 p.m.

The Dignity Vigil gathers in solidarity with undocumented and immigrant families and people. Wednesdays from 12-1:00 pm in front of CBP in Ferndale (1231 Sunset Ave); Thursdays from 12-1:00 in front of CBP in Ferndale (1231 Sunset Ave); Fridays from 12-1:00 pm at the corner of Barkley and Woburn.


The Racial Justice Coalition meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, at 6:30 p.m.

Jobs with Justice meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at 1700 N. State Street (Union Center) upstairs. monthly at 1700 N. State Street (Union Center) in the Laborers' Hall. For info, call (360) 647-1752.

Veterans for Peace Chapter 111 meets every third Friday at 6 p.m., at the Bellingham Food Co-op Connections Building (405 E. Holly Street, Room 103) Veterans and non-veterans invited.

Amnesty International Chapter 270 meets the last Tuesday of every month at the downtown food co-op, at 7 p.m. at the upstairs area.

The Whatcom Peace & Justice Center calls on our government and society to disavow policies of violence and seek a culture of peace.
