Bellingham is home to the longest-running Weekly Peace Vigil in the United States. Started by Howard and Rosemary Harris more than 50 years ago, it has seen more than four generations. It is held on the corner of Magnolia Street and Cornwall, in front of the Federal Building, every Friday starting at 4 p.m. and usually lasts until about 5 p.m.  All people of goodwill are invited to join.
The Whatcom Peace & Justice Center calls on our government and society to disavow policies of violence and seek a culture of peace.
